First Visit

We want you to feel confident about Penobscot Bay Dentistry right from the start! We’ll happily discuss any concerns you may have about your care. Your initial appointment will also include a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, treatment can be performed, however, a complex medical history or treatment plan may require a second appointment to provide treatment on a separate day.

What to Bring

Please provide the following at the time of your first visit:

  • X-rays (if available)
  • A list of your current medications
  • An insurance card if you have dental insurance. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

If you have had x-rays taken by other dentists or physicians, please request that they forward them to Penobscot Bay Dentistry, or you may pick them up and bring them with you. If additional images are necessary, they can be taken at our office.

Your Medical Conditions and Medications

Please alert the office about your medical conditions or medications that may be of concern if dental surgery is required. Conditions include diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, and rheumatic fever. Medications include heart medications, aspirin, and anticoagulant therapy.

IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18 on this first visit to Penobscot Bay Dentistry.
